The Andre Tchelistcheff and Dr. Richard Peterson Scholarship funds established by the Monterey Wine Festival Educational Foundation support deserving graduate students doing promising research work in viticulture or enology. The American Vineyard Foundation (AVF) manages the scholarship programs for the Andre Tchelistcheff & Dr. Richard Peterson Endowments. These programs were established in partnership with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) with proceeds from the Monterey Wine Festival Educational Foundation annual fundraising event. The NRAEF manages program investments and hosts the website for applicant entries and reviewer evaluations while the AVF organizes the review committee responsible for award selections.
